Five competition teams at James Martin High School run on donated materials, tooling, and entry fees. Sponsorship pays for the parts students build with, and your name goes on the machines they take to competition.
Materials and parts
Aluminum, carbon, motors, controllers, batteries, solar cells, airframes, and the spare parts that get used up in testing.
Entry and travel
Registration for the Solar Car Challenge, RoboBoat, FIRST, the American Rocketry Challenge, and the Bell drone competition, plus getting students there.
Tools and shop
Machining, fabrication, and electronics equipment in Room 140A that every one of the five teams shares.
